Patrick Ph. Streiff was elected bishop of the United Methodist Church in Central and Southern Europe in 2005. His area covers twelve countries in Europe (Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland) and two countries in Africa (Algeria, Tunisia).

Patrick Ph. Streiff was ordained elder in the Annual Conference Switzerland-France of the United Methodist Church. He served as pastor in Lausanne-Vevey, Neuchâtel and Biel/Bienne, located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. From 1998 to 2004 he was part-time director of the “Centre Méthodiste de Formation Théologique” in Lausanne (Switzerland), and from 1992 to 2004 he served as lecturer of modern Christian history at the University of Lausanne.

In 1979, Heidi Albrecht and Patrick Ph. Streiff were married. They have four children: Rahel Esther, Corinne Simone, Manuel Andreas and Myriam Ruth.

ProchPSuperintendent Mgr. Petr Procházka (1966)

He has been superintendent from the year 2010. He served as a pastor in the parish Plzeň 3, the congregation Maranatha (1999-2010), and in the parish Brno (1996-1999). He was born in a Methodist family. His grandfather converted within tent evangelization in the year 1921. He is married and he has three teenage children.

He has been a pastor of the UMC since 2004. He served in parish Horní Počernice, Prague 2, and nowadays in Třeboň. He is married and he has three adult children, and four grandchildren.

 

JchlupMgr. David Chlupáček (1975)

He is a layman and also an enthusiastic supporter of layman participation in the life of the church. He experienced spiritual awakening at high school and converted to Christianity. Nowadays he is a director of Christian Help Centres in Jihlava, which work in the diaconia and social work areas. He is happily married and he has two children.

He was baptised in the year 2004 and since the year 2005 he is a professing member of the UMC Brno. He works as a researcher at MU, Faculty of Science in Brno. He is married and has two children.

 

PkonopikDistrict Laymen Leader Ing. Petr Konopík (1973)

As a professing member of the Church he serves in parish UMC Plzeň 3, the congregation Maranatha. In the year 2015, he was elected as a district laymen leader. He converted to Christianity when he was twenty. He works in Škoda Plzeň as a technologist. He is married and has three children.

PVadMgr. Petr Vaďura (1962)

His previous job was a history and language teacher, From the year 1989, he served in the church Christian Fellowship, thereafter in the UMC. Since the year 2015, he has worked in the congregation Tachov. He is married and has 4 children.

She has been working in this position since the year 2007. She was born in the family of a UMC pastor. She has been an active member of the Church from her teens. She is married and she has two adult children.

Manager of Property Department Ing. Jan Procházka (1954)

He was born into an old Methodist family. Since the year 1996 he has been working as the Manager of Property Department. He is married to an emeritus UMC pastor. Together they raised three children.

Director of the UMC Diacony Ing.arch. Martin Kukla (1983)

For many years he has worked as an assistant of superintendent of UMC in Czech Republic. He grew up in UMC Jihlava and know he is presbyter of ESUMC in Prague.

 

Deputy Director of the UMC Institute of Education Mgr. Ivana Procházková ThD. (1971)

She has been occupied with layman and clergy education since the year 2010. She served as a pastor in the parish Prague 2 in the years 2012-2017, in the parish Plzeň 3 (2010), and in the parish Plzeň 1 (1999-2004). She is married and she has three teenage children.

jkrizMissionary coordinator Mgr. Jana Křížová (1952)

She served as a pastor in Brno (2004-2017). From the Annual Conference 2017 she will be pastor in the UMC Prague 2. Besides this, she takes care about international relationships, especially with the United Methodists in the USA. She participates in ecumenical projects. The relation to Christ she found as an adult, when she was moved by testimony of her Christian friends.
